OKTE, a.s. is Nominated Electricity Market Operator (NEMO)

On 30 November 2015, OKTE, a.s. was designated by the Slovak Regulatory Office for Network Industries (RONI) as a Nominated Electricity Market Operator (NEMO) for performing tasks related to single day-ahead and single intraday market coupling processes.

RONI, as a competent authority responsible for NEMO designation according to the Commission Regulation (EU) 2015/1222 of 24 July 2015 establishing a guideline on capacity allocation and congestion management (CACM) and in connection with Act no. 250/2012 Coll. on Regulation of Network Industries, has concluded that the company OKTE, a.s. has fulfilled all criteria for designation as a NEMO.

OKTE, a.s., as a holder of license for organizing short-term electricity market in Slovakia, obtained the status of NEMO under CACM in the Slovak Republic whereby OKTE, a.s. fulfilled demanding technical, legislative, and administrative criteria and requirements in the area of providing the organization of short-term electricity market.

The company OKTE, a.s. as the NEMO is an entity that is actively involved in and cooperates on activities related to the development, implementation, and operation of single day-ahead and single intraday market coupling in the European Union according to CACM.
